Cutting to the heart of energy vulnerability

Centrica Business Solutions was a new division created to sell scalable business energy solutions, particularly around ‘distributed energy’ (storing and selling surplus energy back to the grid).

To launch them, a campaign promoting their expertise in energy resilience was created. The ‘shit happens’ concept was straight to the point, highlighting the fact that power cuts can happen at any moment, which can be catastrophically bad news for businesses.

The campaign played out three major causes of powercuts in Europe and the US... extreme weather, human error and animals (from squirrels to bears and beyond) and ran across press, display, outdoor and direct mail.
